After a year of virtual living, we’re entering a new era in the world of events and it’s all about the hybrid experience. We’re bringing with us the best elements of the virtual experience as in-person events return. Follow the money and you’ll see how much people believe in it – Hopin has just been valued at $5.7 billion. It seems the hybrid event is here to stay.

by Victoria Neeson, Dreamtek CEO

I’ve been working in the industry for over 20 years, with 10 years as CEO of Dreamtek, and I can safely say that we are in the midst of something seismic. As the demand for hybrid events grows, we need to make sure we’re evolving at a pace. To do this the best we can, we have formed a strategic partnership with Liberty & Co, a creative consultancy with expertise in the experiential space. Together we’re making hybrid events as captivating as they can possibly be – because when done well, hybrid events can create a more memorable experience than a solely physical one.

As we transition into a hybrid world, seamless technology is integral to digesting good content effectively. Having been thrown into this situation without warning by the pandemic, we’ve had an excuse to be slightly behind on technology. With Liberty & Co, we’ve been busy coming up with solutions to make sure we stay one step ahead and come out the other end of all this stronger than before.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing with you the 10 rules of experiential we’ve developed in conjunction with Liberty & Co and have implemented to put us at the forefront of the hybrid events space. See it as a handy guidebook to putting on engaging events that’ll keep audiences coming back for more.
