The hottest women’s lunch this week was hosted by Dreamtek and took place at the Ivy Market Grill in London…
The invigorating and insightful lunch was attended by a group of powerful and successful women in business. With guests from international businesses such as CitiBank, YouTube, CNN, UBS and Deloitte. The Power Women lunch was planned to discuss unlocking the untapped economic contribution of women in business and to provide the opportunity to network with other like-minded women in power.
We believe that “Women’s leadership is more than important in today’s world, it’s imperative.” We believe in investing in the women in our company, with females in two of our most senior roles, including our CEO and the Vice President of the UK, both of whom spoke at the event.
“The dynamics of today’s business environment has changed, particularly because of women business leaders playing an important role in making the transition away from ‘business as usual’. Empowering women, improving their representation and participation in all walks of life, but particularly in the male-dominated world of business, is critical to demonstrate that women have the power to choose and define themselves.”
Victoria Neeson, CEO, Dreamtek
We heard the personal stories of three women who are leading global organisations:
Victoria Neeson, our CEO and co-owner, is responsible for Dreamtek’s European & North American business. With two daughters Victoria is based predominantly in New York and travels globally to be on site with clients and her teams. Victoria has led the development of Dreamtek’s consultancy services, greatly expanding our provision of integrated media solutions. Vicky believes “The dynamics of today’s business environment has changed, particularly because of women business leaders playing an important role in making the transition away from ‘business as usual’. Empowering women, improving their representation and participation in all walks of life, but particularly in the male-dominated world of business, is critical to demonstrate that women have the power to choose and define themselves.”
Hannah Massam is our Vice President, UK and has been with Dreamtek since 2008. Her expertise and knowledge of the industry has enabled her progression to VP. She has two young children and travels around the globe to support our clients internationally. Hannah believes “Women have the right to have a family and a career. I work hard to strike a balance being a mum as well as being a professional woman. Both men and women can be a CEO, scientist, political leader, nurse or firefighter, no matter what gender. Even in 2018 we still have gender equality issues, which needs to stop.”
We also welcomed a guest speaker:
Pippa Savory, the newly appointed Head of People at Overbury & Morgan Lovell. With a career in HR, Leadership and Culture spanning more than 20 years, Pippa’s drive and unrivalled energy has allowed her to lead a successful career whilst raising a family. Choosing to start work straight from school, Pippa has worked for herself, SME’s and Corporate businesses. Working her way up to board director level, Pippa believes that authenticity is a key ingredient to being happy at work. As a firm believer in flexing your personality to suit the situation, Pippa believes that working with businesses whose values align to your own makes it easier to stay true to yourself. She says that “Being authentic promotes trust with everyone we interact with from colleagues to clients to friends.”
