This week we have been talking to Tom Fisher, the Talent Acquisition & Account Manager for UK/EMEA, about where “Talent” came from and what it has to offer our clients, and why it is now more important than ever to connect the right talent to content led projects.
Tom, Dreamtek Talent has been going from strength to strength, when did it first start up?
“Dreamtek Talent was formed in January 2014. We were fortunate to have the backing of other in-house divisions under the Dreamtek Group. This enabled us to build on existing foundations and create an unrivalled talent model that not only maximised our production offering, but also helped cement Dreamtek as a fully integrated media business.”
What was the drive for creating Dreamtek Talent?
“The Talent division was created as we noticed a gap in the market for our customers who needed access to credible, creative and reliable production staff to help them deliver their content visions. Many of us may have heard the term “content is key” but how can you create shareable and impactive content without the support of a talented creative team? That’s where we come in and with each new project we are continually motivated to offer talent that not only has all the necessary experience and credits, but also those that align with the cultural fit of our clients’ businesses.”
Can you tell us what Dreamtek Talent has to offer?
“Our Talent division delivers enhanced AV & production value through premium managed staffing services, supported by an in-house production division that cover everything from corporate filming through to complex 360/VR shoots. This means that Dreamtek are well positioned to take a brief from concept through to completion, and can also offer content seeding solutions to ensure clients maximise their content engagement.”
So, how do you differ from a recruitment company?
“We are not a recruitment agency, nor are we just a staffing body shop. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver a 360 staffing service, from selecting the best candidates for our customers, to managing staff performance mentorship, HR and benefits payroll schemes. All of this means we invest time in our staff to ensure they are delivering the highest level of service to our customers, and if our staff are happy, then so are our customers.”
What are the key attributes you look for when looking for staff to join Talent?
“Personable, creative minded, adaptable, tenacious, methodical, knowledgeable, self-motivated, confident & resourceful. As a general rule of thumb, I would say these are the main attributes that we look for during the sourcing and vetting process of both freelance/permanent staff.”
Which clients do the Talent division work with?
“We have on-site AV & Production staff at Google, Burberry, JLR, Peugeot & Commerzbank, and have provided daily freelance support for multiple other clients around the world.”
“We were presenting to a really important group live over Hangouts so it was great to have Dreamtek overseeing every step of the production process. The production team were a terrific help – relaxed, good humoured, knowledgeable and prepared. It was great to have them there for all tech support.”
